The Walk to Cure Arthritis raises funds and awareness to fight the nation's leading cause of disability. We aren't just helping the millions of people who live with arthritis pain, we're funding research that's getting us closer to a cure.
The event features a three-mile and one-mile course, with arthritis information and activities for the entire family. Pet owners are encouraged to bring their dogs.
Let's raise funds to find a cure for arthritis, then come together to support each other and walk!
Hello. My name is Lauren Goolsby. I was diagnosed with Pauciarticular Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis when I was only 1 years old and with Uveitis when I was 2 years old. I am now 14 years old and still fighting this disease. I take daily medications and bi-weekly injections to help control the effects of arthritis. I do not let my arthritis hold me back. My passion is theater and whether I am on stage, helping with tech or mentoring younger actors, I try to be involved in as many shows as possible. I also played basketball for my junior high.
This is Lauren's Striders 5th year to walk. Our team has raised over $20,000 throughout the years to help fight this debilitating disease. I pray that one day there is a cure. With your help, we can make that happen.
